MAV also took the time to welcome a 20 strong group of Denmark students, teachers and community workers who visited the MAV office on Saturday 7th May 2011. The group was hosted by Street Pastor Tony Winters and came to the City of Manchester to find out how the city was
tackling gang related issues. They were keen to look at the progress made since the early 1990’s up until the present day. The group also visited Greater Manchester Police Services and a number of other inner city projects. The aim of their visit was to gather knowledge of gang related social problems. It was a pleasure for MAV to extend a welcome to them and provide them with an insight into what we felt was affective community cohesion.
