We would like to thank all the volunteers, staff and shoppers who supported us on Friday 25th November at ASDA Supermarket Hulme at our Bag Packing Day.

We raised £1113

Mothers Against Violence (MAV) are continue to raise funds for the work we do within the local communities supporting those who are affected by gun and knife crime, substance misuse and unemployment. MAV are seeking to raise £5000. There will be events held across Manchester over the winter months which will help towards raising much needed funds.

  • Car Boot Sale – 3rd December at Claremont Resource Centre at 7am -1pm
  • Bag Packing Asda Supermarket
  • Manchester City Centre Collection.
  • A Sponsored Walk

MAV are seeking to secure funding for the next year. We are hopeful for our future. At present we have not yet secured funding for 2012 and really need your support in raising funds. We want to continue doing the work we do supporting local schools, youth offending services, prisons,  substance misuse services  and providing counselling and Mentoring.

Our 3rd Poetry Night will be held on the 8th December 2011. Please click on the attached flyer for details.  After the success of the last 2 Poetry Nights, we are pleased to announce there will be another night of poets. The venue will again be the Dry Bar, Oldham Street  Manchester. The last event had a number of Lyricists preforming their own work, making music out of the spoken word.
