Face to Face Counselling Service Face to Face Counselling service is based in Chorlton Manchester they provide a low cost counselling service for people on a low income. Fathers Against Violence Mothers Against Violence celebrate the birth of our brother organisation Fathers Against Violence (FAV). G.I.F.T Academy GIFT provide educational support outside school hours for children. They have been a key influence in promoting the benefits of educational success for children in inner city communities. They also provide other support which includes mentoring and counselling. INSPIRE Inspire is a project set up in Levenshulme and has brought this local community together. The project aims to inspire and provide support for the local residents. Inspire has a purpose built building which was formally only an old run down church. Thay have a clear vision to cater f0r the needs of the community in which they serve. Stand Against Violence Lloyd Fouracre was beaten to death one day before his 18th birthday by a group of drunken youths. It was a completely unprovoked and random act of violence resulting in devastating consequences. The impact on Lloyds friends and family was huge and as a result Lloyds brother Adam Fouracre launched Stand Against Violence in his brothers memory. The aim was simple, prevent further incidences of this nature and save the lives of the victims and prevent other families having to experience the pain Lloyds family has been through.
The Sophie Lancaster Foundation Since The death of Sophie Lancashire on August 24th 2007, following a horrific attack on her and her partner. Sophie’s family had lots of kind offers of support. Now as a charity, known as The Sophie Lancaster Foundation they seek to creating a respect for and understanding of subcultures in our communities. The foundation have been supporter of the Million Mothers March orgnised by MAV.
Victim Support Victim Support is the independent charity for victims and witnesses of crime in England and Wales. It was set up over 35 years ago and has grown to become the oldest and largest victims’ organisation in the world. Every year, Victim Support contact over 1.5 million people after a crime to offer help. Victim Support depends on thousands of specially-trained volunteers to deliver services and although they work closely with the police and other parts of the criminal justice system, they are an independent charity.
